Finally, Telegram has introduced a function many users have been waiting for: the ability to pause and resume recording voice messages. This is especially useful if you were interrupted during recording or simply needed to gather your thoughts. To use the new feature, swipe up on the microphone button while recording and tap pause. When you’re ready, tap the microphone again to continue your message.

Telegram already allowed sending one-time view voice messages, and now the same feature is available for video. To record a self-destructing video, swipe up during recording and tap the button with the number “1”. After viewing, such a video will automatically disappear for both correspondents—neither the sender nor the recipient will be able to watch it again.

Even the preview of such messages will be hidden. This is an additional layer of privacy for those who want to share something just once. Recall that in December, the messenger also received a major call update—with a new design and battery saving features.
